Classic Example of a Pre-Civil War Chickering Square Grand Piano
Out of stock
Chickering was the first piano manufacturer in American History, and they are known for building some of the finest pianos in the world. This little piano is a 6 octave instrument with a low F to high F compass. The piano is made of Brazilian Rosewood and is of the Empire Revival style. These early pianos have a very sweet and delicate tone quality, making them ideal for playing period music of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, etc. Although the piano is very early, it does have typical full working damper pedal and soft pedals. This is a rare piece of America's musical history, and is being restored to like-new condition, inside and out.
