This piano is a prime example of the beautiful craftsmanship that was produced by the renowned Knabe Piano Company during the 19th Century. It is made of beautifully carved Brazilian Rosewood, and has heavily carved Rococo Style cabriole legs and carved pedal lyre. This piano was built in 1873, but was sent back to the Knabe factory in 1903 and the action was converted from the traditional Victorian style grand action to a modern 20th Century grand action! The overall appearance of this piano is just stunning, and the tone quality and touch is amazing. It is an ideal piano for someone with a period home who wants a quality instrument. Notice the beautiful cut work around the music desk and music rack. The tone of this piano is unmatched by today's instruments, and it is about half the price of a new piano of similar size. It comes with an original matching stool, and can be equipped with a computerized player mechanism if desired.
