DESCRIPTION

The Steinway Model A was first introduced in 1878. Although the Model “A” went through several states of evolution during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, it has remained one of the most popular and desirable of all Steinway models. The Model “A”, the fourth largest size in the Steinway line, is well suited for someone with a smaller space yet it is powerful enough to make it the ideal instrument for both professional home and concert use.
This lovely piano is a rare carved Rococo style Model “A” Steinway in a custom designed cabinet. The body of the piano is made of endangered Brazilian Rosewood which is accented by exotic burl wood banding and inlay around the base of the cabinet, music rack and name plate. Note the lovely carved serpentine legs and elegant music rack and pedal lyre. Although this carved Rococo style was quite popular in larger Steinway models, it is seldom found on a piano of this size. This instrument is finished in a stunning high gloss polished finish which makes it look absolutely new in every way. (The piano can be rubbed out into a traditional satin rubbed dull finish is an “old world” satin patina is desired). The touch and tone of this piano are of the best quality, and the instrument is overall very impressive. The piano has been totally restored to like new condition inside and out, and is absolutely like new in absolutely every detail.
If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live on an iPod, computer, iPad, etc. Thousands of song titles are available.
A matching bench is included.
