DEPOSITS: The restoration of this instrument has not been completed. A 30% deposit is required on instruments pending restoration. This deposit holds the instrument and keeps it from being offered to another clients, and it also makes that piano's restoration a priority. Once we complete the restoration, we invite the client to visit our shop to see and hear the piano. If the client is unable to visit our shop, we will send professional photos and videos of the piano for review. The client then has the option of paying the balance and purchasing the piano, transferring their balance to another piano in our shop, or getting a full refund for their deposit. The client is never at risk.

DESCRIPTION

For over 170 years, Wm. Knabe & Company has remained one of the finest American piano brands every produced. Knabe pianos are known worldwide as being one of the finest piano brands ever made. This piano is made of beautifully carved Brazilian Rosewood in the Eastlake Victorian style. Note that the original ornate filigree music rack was replaced at some point; an original filigree carved music rack is being replaced in the restoration process. This model piano was known as the "Parlor Grand", and was popular in larger homes and conservatories of the Victorian era. While substantial enough for a professional musician or small auditorium, the size of the piano made it desirable for most Victorian parlors and sitting rooms. This piano is being restored to like new condition, inside and out. The tone and touch of the instrument will rival any new high-quality piano found today.
If desired, this piano can be equipped with thecomputerized player mechanisms so that it can play by itself by streaming music live on an iPod, computer, iPad, etc.
A matching piano stool is included.
