The Model “M” is one of Steinway’s most popular parlor grand piano models. The Model “M” was a favorite of both fine home musicians and professional pianists of the day because it was small enough for the home but powerful enough for the professional musician. This piano was built in 1917, the beginning of the “Golden Age” of piano building.
The piano is made of beautiful brown mahogany wood with reddish tones (hidden under the old deteriorated finish) and is of the traditional spade-leg style. A buyer would have the option of having the piano restored in a brown mahogany or red mahogany color to suite their décor. The instrument will be quite beautiful after professional restoration!
