DESCRIPTION

The early 20th Century saw a huge resurgence in period and historical furniture and decorating styles. During this era, a handful of the finer piano companies offered custom period style finishes and styles. The client would usually visit the factory and choose the piano of their choice, then the factory would contract special artisans to custom finish and paint the instrument to match a buyer's preferred style and decor. Some of these custom finishes were true works of art, and these original custom painted pianos are some of the rarest and most desirable instruments available today.

At The Antique Piano Shop, we are proud to offer a limited number of these specially painted instruments. We are working with very special artisans to reproduce some of the most exquisite custom painted and decorated instruments in American history, and example of which you see here!

This beautiful Louis XV style Knabe parlor grand piano was built in the 1920's, the "Golden Age" of piano building in America. The piano is being restored to like new condition, inside and out, and has the tone and touch of a quality new instrument. The cabinet is done in a distressed Jade lacquer finish with antique gold gilding and painted French scenery.

A matching bench is included. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired.
