DESCRIPTION

This beautiful instrument is made of heavily carved Exotic Walnut Wood, a wood and color rarely seen in Victorian era pianos. Most pianos built in the late 19th Century were made of very dark wood, and a light beautiful wood finish like this would have likely been a custom order. The grain and color of the piano is just stunning - and very unusual. Most grand pianos of this era were at least 6'4" in length, and pianos under 6 feet long didn't become popular until well after the turn-of-the-century. Part of the unique charm of this piano is that it has a very bold and masculine appearance, yet it is rather small in actual size. This piano has a warm, mellow tone, and is being restored to mint condition. An original matching stool is included. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired.
