These smaller “Boudoir” upright pianos were designed for small apartments and cottages of the early 20th Century
This lovely “Boudoir” model piano was built by The Columbus Piano Company in 1906. The “Boudoir” model was a small instrument that was built for apartments and small cottages where space was a premium. These small “Boudoir” model pianos were introduced decades before modern console or spinet style upright pianos, proving that the firm was ahead of its time. Boudoir pianos are not very common, indicating that they were not sold in large numbers.
This little piano measures 50” tall, 52” wide, 24” deep, and features a 6 1/3 octave keyboard. Despite its smaller size, the instrument has a large, full tone quality one would expect from a full upright grand piano. This piano will be restored to factory-new condition, both inside and out, and can be finished in any shade of red or brown mahogany wood. It will be quite beautiful after professional restoration.
If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live from any smart device. Thousands of song titles are available.
