DEPOSITS: The restoration of this instrument has not been completed. A 30% deposit is required on instruments pending restoration. This deposit holds the instrument and keeps it from being offered to another clients, and it also makes that piano's restoration a priority. Once we complete the restoration, we invite the client to visit our shop to see and hear the piano. If the client is unable to visit our shop, we will send professional photos and videos of the piano for review. The client then has the option of paying the balance and purchasing the piano, transferring their balance to another piano in our shop, or getting a full refund for their deposit. The client is never at risk.

DESCRIPTION

This is a very early example of a Wing & Son 5 pedal orchestral upright grand piano in beautiful walnut wood. It has beautifully carved panels, richly detailed moldings, and elegant paneled sides. The Wing & Son Piano Company had a reputation for building only high quality pianos and sold them exclusively from their lavish mail order catalogs.

 

This particular piano was sold as the “Style 29 Concert Grand” according to its original sales catalog. Some of these pianos were equipped with 5 pedals, which mimic sounds of the mandolin, banjo, harp, and zither. One cannot imagine how delightful it is to listen to one of these pianos when properly restored, and this piano is generally a favorite among our guests. When not engaged, the piano plays normally without any interference from these pedal attachments.

 

This piano will be restored, inside and out, with a historical perspective in mind.  This instrument is a full-size upright grand with substantial tone quality.  If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live from any smart device.  Thousands of song titles are available.
