DESCRIPTION

This beautiful instrument was built by the B. Shoninger Piano Company in 1899.  B. Shoninger built extremely high-quality, expensive pianos from 1850 – 1960; one of the few American manufacturers to survive well over a century.

This piano is made of richly-figured quarter sawn oak wood and was originally sold as the “Colonial Cabinet Grand” model.  This piano is beautifully carved, yet not “overdone”; it was built when designs were evolving from the highly-carved Victorian style to the more stream-lined Edwardian style.  This level of true craftsmanship is rarely encountered in instruments built today.

The instrument is a full-size “upright grand” which offers a tremendous tone quality.  The piano will be completely restored with historical accuracy, both inside and out.

If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music from any smart device. More than 10,000 song titles are available!
