Description
Rare Weser Brothers 4-Pedal Upright in Walnut Wood
The Weser Brothers Piano Company was originally established in New York in 1879. Weser Brothers was known to build high-quality, expensive instruments and the firm enjoyed a fine reputation for decades. The firm was somewhat of a pioneer in the American Piano Industry and introduced several unique patents that were ahead of their time.
Weser Brothers was one of the first firms to introduce “Orchestral Attachments” in the form of extra pedals on their upright pianos. These extra pedals would allow the pianist to mimic the sound of string instruments like mandolin, guitar and harp.
This instrument is one of Weser Brother’s rare 4-pedal “Orchestral” models. In addition to the standard loud and soft pedals, the two extra pedals allow the piano to produce different orchestral sounds which are quite pleasing to hear!
This piano is made of beautiful walnut wood and is of the carved Victorian style. The piano will be restored to like-new condition, both inside and out, with restoration being done with a historical perspective in mind. If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live from any smart streaming device. Thousands of song titles are available.
A matching piano bench is included.
