Description
Ellington Upright Piano in Book-Matched Walnut Wood
This handsome piano was built by the Ellington Piano Company of Cincinnati in 1923, the “Golden Age” of piano building in America. Ellington was one of the top brand names built by the famous Baldwin Piano Company, and they built high quality, expensive pianos from about 1893-1930.
This piano is made of beautiful book-matched walnut wood under the old finish and is of the Colonial style. Note the beautiful wood grain which compliments the simple elegance of the cabinet. This instrument is a full size upright piano with very long strings and broad soundboard area, giving a full, deep tone comparable to most baby grand pianos.
This piano will be restored inside and out with a historical perspective in mind. If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live from any smart streaming device. Thousands of song titles are available.
A matching piano bench is included.
