Steinway is said to have built some of the finest pianos in history, and this was one of their most elaborate square grand models of the Victorian era.
This piano was built by the famous Steinway & Sons Piano Company in 1875 during the height of the square grand piano's popularity in Victorian America. Much of Steinways reputation and fame was gained from the advances they made in square piano building during the 19th Century, and their designs and patents were used for decades. This piano is made of the Rococo Victorian Style. The case is made of stunning rosewood, and it is of the desirable cabriole leg style with carved music rack and pedal lyre. The ivory keyboard is good enough to be restored. The piano is being in rebuilt to like new condition, inside and out. This piano can be fitted with the computerized player mechanisms if desired.
