During the 19th Century, many of Steinway's famous patents and claims to early fame were because of their square grand pianos. This beautiful piano was built by the famous Steinway & Sons Piano Company in 1860, just before the Civil War. The case is made of stunning carved rosewood in the Rococo style with carved music rack and pedal lyre. The instrument is elegantly carved and has a massive, handsome appearance. It has been restored to like new condition, inside and out. This piano can be equipped with computerized player mechanisms if desired.
