DEPOSITS: The restoration of this instrument has not been completed. A 30% deposit is required on instruments pending restoration. This deposit holds the instrument and keeps it from being offered to another clients, and it also makes that piano's restoration a priority. Once we complete the restoration, we invite the client to visit our shop to see and hear the piano. If the client is unable to visit our shop, we will send professional photos and videos of the piano for review. The client then has the option of paying the balance and purchasing the piano, transferring their balance to another piano in our shop, or getting a full refund for their deposit. The client is never at risk.

During the 1960s and 1970s, style was evolving toward bright, colorful and often avant-garde designs in both fashion and interior design. Piano manufacturers like Steinway would offer customized colors and designs to their clients so that instruments would harmonize and blend well with their surroundings.

This unusual piano is a Mid-Century Modern Steinway Model M grand piano done in an original canary yellow lacquer finish, likely a special order for the original buyer. Built in 1970, this instrument is otherwise a conventional Steinway Model M grand piano with the exception of its extraordinary canary yellow lacquer finish!

This piano will be restored to like-new condition, inside and out, complete with the high-quality touch and tone the Steinway M is known for. The canary yellow finish will be restored as well.
