Classic 19th Century Pleyel Parlor Grand Piano
Pleyel is known for being one of the most romantic piano builders of all time. Their instruments are known all over the world as being some of the finest pianos ever built. Throughout the firm’s history, Pleyel was an innovator and was never afraid to take risks. The firm was known for offering custom-made, custom-designed instruments, many of them being very avant-garde and shocking in appearance!
This beautiful piano was built in 1894, a time when Pleyel was at its height of popularity in Europe. This instrument is of the Empire Revival style. It has an overall large and impressive appearance in person while still maintaining a delicate and formal look. The piano appears to be made of rosewood but was refinished in a black lacquer finish by a previous owner; the instrument can be restored back to a natural rosewood finish or in a black lacquer finish to suit a client’s décor.
This piano is being restored to like-new condition, inside and out. This piano is not just a beautiful piece of antique furniture; the quality of the instrument will compare to any top quality new piano.
The matching piano stool is included. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired.
