The Antique Piano Shop is honored to share a featured antique piano from our collection of magnificent Mathushek Orchestral Model Square Grand Piano that dates from 1876.
This Mathushek Orchestral Model Square Grand Piano was the highest grade, most expensive model square grand piano built by Mathushek and is highly desirable for the brilliant Brazilian Rosewood finish and attention to detail throughout this wonderful piece of musical history.
This is a superb example of the “Orchestral” model square grand piano by the Mathushek Piano Company; The “Orchestral” was the largest and most expensive model square grand piano offered by the firm. Mathushek was known for getting the largest tone out of the smallest space, so these large Orchestral square pianos sound truly amazing regardless of the space that they are placed. Of particular note is the heavily carved scalloping around the edges of the case, as well as an ornate grilled music rack. The opportunity to play an Orchestral square piano is exceedingly rare and many are surprised at how pleasing an instrument it can be to listen to. This piano is nearly finished being restored to like new condition, inside and out, and is available for purchase immediately.
If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Antique Piano Shop Pianomation player system and can play by itself by streaming music live on an iPod, computer, iPad, etc.
