The Sterling Piano & Organ Company was known for building high quality, elaborate instruments during the turn-of-the-century era. This lovely piano is a prime example of the high Victorian style from the era.

DEPOSITS: The restoration of this instrument has not been completed. A 30% deposit is required on instruments pending restoration. This deposit holds the instrument and keeps it from being offered to another clients, and it also makes that piano's restoration a priority. Once we complete the restoration, we invite the client to visit our shop to see and hear the piano. If the client is unable to visit our shop, we will send professional photos and videos of the piano for review. The client then has the option of paying the balance and purchasing the piano, transferring their balance to another piano in our shop, or getting a full refund for their deposit. The client is never at risk.

DESCRIPTION

Sterling built high quality, expensive pianos in Derby, Connecticut from 1866-1960, one of the few American piano manufacturers to survive through the Great Depression without being absorbed into a larger corporation.
This beautiful piano was built in 1902 and is made in the highly decorated Victorian style. According to its original sales catalog, this model was sold as the “Style 90 Concert Grand”, the highest-grade, most elaborate upright piano in the Sterling line. The instrument is made of beautiful imported Honduran Mahogany wood with ornately carved moldings and panels. Note the beautifully carved panels on the sides of the instruments, an unusual feature. It has a very powerful, deep tone that is typical of the larger upright pianos.
This piano is being restored to like-new condition, inside and out. A matching piano stool is included.
This piano can be fitted with the computerized player mechanisms if desired.
