DESCRIPTION

This Kranich & Bach Louis XV Style baby grand piano from the late 1950’s era. What makes this piano a bit unusual is that it was originally finished in an Ivory color “Pickled Walnut” finish, as can be seen here in the photos. Kranich & Bach built high quality, expensive pianos from about 1864-1981…one of the few American piano manufacturers to survive well over a century. This piano boasts beautifully carved legs and scalloping along the entire case. This piano was refinished back to it’s original ivory color “Pickled Walnut” finish, and has been restored to like new condition. The tone is warm and soothing and the touch is very responsive. This is truly a very special piano from a special time in America’s piano building history. A matching bench is included. This piano can be equipped with a computerized player mechanism if desired.
