DEPOSITS: The restoration of this instrument has not been completed. A 30% deposit is required on instruments pending restoration. This deposit holds the instrument and keeps it from being offered to another clients, and it also makes that piano's restoration a priority. Once we complete the restoration, we invite the client to visit our shop to see and hear the piano. If the client is unable to visit our shop, we will send professional photos and videos of the piano for review. The client then has the option of paying the balance and purchasing the piano, transferring their balance to another piano in our shop, or getting a full refund for their deposit. The client is never at risk.

DESCRIPTION

William Knabe & Company was one of the largest and most successful piano manufactures in American history.  Knabe is among the “top 5” of the most celebrated old American brand names, gaining fame and recognition as the official piano of the Metropolitan opera.

 

This piano is made of richly-figured Honduran Mahogany wood and is of the Colonial style.  Just a bit larger than a baby grand, this piano is a “parlor grand” size with a large and powerful tone quality.  These early 20thCentury Knabe parlor grand pianos were considered some of the finest pianos ever built in America, and their scale designs are still being copied and reproduced today in new piano manufacturing.

 

This piano will be restored to like-new condition, inside and out.  It can be finished in either a brown or red mahogany color, and black lacquer can be done on special order.  Not only is this instrument visually stunning, it is a top quality musical instrument which would satisfy any accomplished musician.

 

If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live from any smart streaming device. Thousands of song titles are available.

 

A matching piano bench is included.
