DESCRIPTION

This beautiful piano is a full size concert grand built by Edward Badlam of New York in about 1850. This instrument measures 8'2" long, and would have been used on the concert stage rather than a private home of the era. It is made of beautifully carved Brazilian Rosewood, and is of the Rococo Victorian style. This is one of the most elaborate and advanced Pre-Civil war era grand pianos we have ever seen, and it is just stunning in every detail. The instrument has been amazingly well preserved, and has been totally restored to like-new condition, inside and out. A matching period stool is included.
