DESCRIPTION

This beautiful piano was built by the famous Steinway & Sons Piano Company in 1873 at the height of America’s Gilded Age.  During this period, Steinway & Sons were building more square pianos than upright pianos and grand pianos combined!

This piano is made of beautifully carved Brazilian Rosewood and is of the Rococo Victorian style.  Note the beautifully gold-trimmed black harp, a unique departure from the standard gold painted harps most popular during this area.

These earlier square pianos are known for their soft harp-like tone quality which is quite pleasing to listen to.  This piano will be restored to like-new condition both inside and out.  If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live from any smart device. Thousands of song titles are available.
