DESCRIPTION

This is a classic example of early 20th Century technology at its finest. This is a player grand piano built by Marshall & Wendell, and it is equipped with the AMPICO reproducing player system. The AMPICO player system was an advanced pneumatically operated player mechanism which allowed a player piano to play with real expression and dynamics, sounding just like a real person at the keyboard!

This piano is made of imported Honduran Mahogany wood and is of the rare “William & Mary” double-leg style.  During the late 1920’s and early 1930’s, historic period styles became very popular in furniture and interior design.  The historic “William & Mary” style was one of the more popular designs which enjoyed this 20thCentury revival.

This piano will be restored to like-new condition, inside and out.  I can be restored to either a red mahogany or brown mahogany based on the buyers preference.  A matching piano bench is included.
