One-Of-A-Kind Art Case Everett Grand Piano In White Lacquer w/ Brass Ormolu Trim
The Everett Piano Company was one of the largest and most successful piano manufacturers in Boston. Antique Everett pianos are known to be of superior quality, built with only the finest materials and craftsmanship.
Built in 1905, this beautiful, one-of-a-kind instrument would have been a custom designed for a specific client. If was not uncommon for better piano manufacturers to offer custom, one-of-a-kind instruments for their wealthier clients. A client would generally purchase a stock piano based on its tonal quality, then specialized artisans would be commissioned to create a special and unique “art case” around the chosen instrument according to the client’s specifications. This piano is done in the carved Louis XVI style, executed in a white lacquer finish with exquisite solid brass ormolu trim throughout. Note the instrument is sitting on 8 heavily decorated legs!
Even now, prior to restoration, this piano has an exceptional concert quality tone and touch which we’ve come to expect from period Everett grand pianos. The piano will be restored to like-new condition, both inside and out, all done with a historical perspective in mind.
If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live from any smart device. Thousands of song titles are available.
