Late 19th Century Upright Piano by C. Bechstein
The C. Bechstein name is synonymous with Germany’s finest piano building, often considered the European equivalent to the American Steinway.
Restored antique Bechstein pianos were primarily distributed throughout European countries so they are a bit scarce here in the United States. In fact, Bechstein pianos are still one of the most widely used pianos on the concert stage in Europe today. Bechstein’s high quality and craftsmanship made their upright pianos quite expensive when new. While Bechstein built a large number of grand pianos, their upright pianos were built on a much more limited basis.
This piano is made of Indian Mahogany wood with two-tone color accents. Note the elaborate folding music rack that can be stowed away inside the instrument when not in use.
This piano will be restored to like-new condition, both inside and out. If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system and can play by itself by streaming music live from any smart device. Thousands of song titles are available.
