Autotone
The “Autotone” brand of player pianos were built as a high-grade, expensive brand of player pianos by Hardman, Peck & Company of New York from about 1905 – 1930. The “Autotone” player system was incorporated in both Hardman-Peck and Harrington brand pianos. While many manufacturers built player pianos a novelties which were sold at affordable prices, the “Autotone” was built to be a serious performing musical instrument with superior performance capability. The firm also sold player pianos under the “Playotone” brand label in addition to the “Autotone” brand.
