Instrument Description
William Wheelock established the Wheelock Piano Company New York City in 1880. Because Wheelock was established just about the time that the square grand piano was going out of fashion, very few square grand pianos were actually built under the Wheelock name. Wheelock square grand pianos were very late, well made and highly evolved square grand pianos. They incorporated all of the design advances that the previous decades had perfected, and nearly all of them had full 88 note keyboards. This piano is made of the highly carved Rococo Victorian style, and is adorned with beautiful Mother Of Pearl inlay across the top of the keyboard. This piano will be restored to perfection. A matching piano stool is included.
