Instrument Description

The Marchal & Smith Piano Company was established in New York in 1859. In the early years, Marchal & Smith built a line of square grand pianos, parlor organs, and chapel organs. This Marchal & Smith square grand piano was originally sold as “Style #4” in their 19th Century sales catalogs (see photos) and would have sold new for $250 in the early 1870’s! It is made of Brazilian Rosewood in the Rococo Victorian style. This piano has been totally restored to like new condition, and is pristine in every way. A computerized player mechanism can be installed if desired. A matching stool is included
