Antique Leckerling Upright Piano In Edwardian Style Cabinet
The Leckerling Piano Company built high-quality, expensive pianos in New York from 1886 until World War II.
This beautiful Leckerling upright piano is a lovely example of the early 20th Century Edwardian style. The Edwardian period (named for the reign of King Edward VII from about 1900 – 1910) was a transitional period that went from the elaborately carved Victorian style to the more stream-lined “modern” styles of the 20thCentury. This gives the instrument a simple, elegant look with carved details without being “too much”. The piano will be quite beautiful after professional restoration.
The piano is a large, full-size “upright grand” with the string length and soundboard area comparable to a full grand piano. This piano is being completely restored, inside and out, with a historical perspective in mind. If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live from any smart device. Thousands of song titles are available.
