Schroeder

The Schroeder brand name (sometimes listed as Schroeder Brothers or Schroeder & Sons) was a subsidiary of the famous Baldwin Piano & Organ Company.  Several different brand names were a part of the “House of Baldwin” including names like Ellington, Hamilton, Howard, Monarch, St. Regis and others.  Instruments from the House of Baldwin” were offered as an affordable alternative to the costlier Baldwin brand instruments while providing durable instruments of superior quality.

Baldwin discontinued the Schroeder brand name in 1938. However, during the 1940s – 1960s, pianos bearing the Schroeder name were likely produced by Winter or Aeolian.  There is no mention of the “Schroeder” brand name after about 1960.
