Meister
The Meister Piano was manufactured and sold by the famous Rothschild Department Stores of Chicago. Meister and Rothschild's sales offices were based in Chicago, but the Meister piano factory was in Monroeville, New York. Meister was a good quality, affordable piano, and thousands were sold. Marketed both in their stores and in their sales catalogs, Rothschild managed to promote the Meister Piano nationwide with huge success – much of the success was accredited to their aggressive financing options. The Meister Piano was discontinued in the late 1920's era just before the Great Depression.
