DESCRIPTION

This is a very rare Wing & Son 5 pedal orchestral upright grand piano in beautiful mahogany wood. It is made in the handsome Empire Revival style with a large, stately appearance. The Wing & Son Piano Company had a reputation for building only high quality pianos and sold them exclusively from their lavish mail order catalogs. This particular piano was sold as the “Majestic Concert Grand” according to its original sales catalog (see photos). Some of these pianos were equipped with 5 pedals, which mimic sounds of the mandolin, banjo, harp, and zither. When not engaged, the piano plays normally without any interference from these pedal attachments. The sound and touch of these Wing pianos is unmatched, as they are truly excellent musical instruments. An original matching stool is included. This piano can be fitted with computerized player mechanisms if desired.
