DESCRIPTION

The Steinway Model B is considered by professional musicians to be the “perfect piano”. The model B is the smaller of the two Steinway Concert Grand Piano sizes, and it is widely used around the world on the concert stage. The Model B Steinway is so perfect that it has remained virtually unchanged for the past 100 years!
Nearly all Steinway Model B pianos were made for institutional and professional use, and most were finished in simple black lacquer cases with traditional square spade legs. This amazing piano is quite an exception. This Model B Steinway is made in the exceedingly rare “Baroque Rococo” style with extensively carved legs, lyre and music rack, making it suitable for the most lavish mansion or estate. This piano would have been the ultimate in both superior musical quality and jaw-dropping aesthetic appeal.
Although this is a large concert size piano, it has an overall delicate and formal appearance. Note the elaborate “picture frame” carved panels around the entire outside rim of the cabinet. The piano is made of an exotic Indian Rosewood which has a depth and color unlike anything found on contemporary instruments.
The internal mechanisms have been restored to like new condition, inside and out. This piano is concert ready, and will rival any new Steinway in tone and touch.
If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live on an iPod, computer, iPad, etc.
The original carved Baroque Rococo style bench is included.
