DEPOSITS: The restoration of this instrument has not been completed. A 30% deposit is required on instruments pending restoration. This deposit holds the instrument and keeps it from being offered to another clients, and it also makes that piano's restoration a priority. Once we complete the restoration, we invite the client to visit our shop to see and hear the piano. If the client is unable to visit our shop, we will send professional photos and videos of the piano for review. The client then has the option of paying the balance and purchasing the piano, transferring their balance to another piano in our shop, or getting a full refund for their deposit. The client is never at risk.

DESCRIPTION
This piano was built by the famous Steinway & Sons Piano Company in 1859, only 5 years after Steinway was established in this country. This is a lovely example of a typical Empire Revival Style square grand piano, a style that was popular in the early to mid 19th Century. After the Civil War, styles began to evolve more toward the heavily carved Rococo Style cabinets with cabriole legs and elaborate moldings. This instrument is shown here before restoration in 100% original condition, and it looks immaculate! The case is made of rosewood and it is of the octagon-leg style with carved music rack and pedal lyre. The original finish on this piano is good enough to preserve, but the customer will have the option of leaving the original finish or having the cabinet refinished. The piano will require internal restoration, which is included in the sale price. The original stool is included.
