The St. Louis Piano Manufacturing Company was once a thriving piano builder in the late 19th Century era, but their instruments are very rare today.
This is an exceptional example from The St. Louis Piano Manufacturing Company in Brazilian Rosewood. Note the incredible wood grain in the finish this type of Rosewood is now endangered and nearly impossible to get in the United States! This piano was refinished some years ago, but it's beautiful patina still shines through. The internal components of this piano are being restored to like new condition. Note the lavish use of carvings and moldings around the cabinet. When new, this would have been one of the most expensive, high-grade square pianos money could buy!
