Lavish B. Shoninger Louis XV “Salon” Model Upright Player Piano In Burl Walnut Carved Cabinet
Out of stock
This piano is one of the most beautifully carved upright pianos ever produced. It was built by the Bernard Shoninger Piano Company of New Haven, CT, in 1899. B. Shoninger built high quality, expensive pianos from 1850-1929, one of the many American piano companies to go under with the great depression. According to its original turn-of-the-century sales catalog, (see photos), this piano was sold as the Louis XV Salon Upright Model.
This Shoninger piano has been completely restored inside and out, and has had computerized player mechanisms installed. It plays wirelessly via compact disc using the Pianomation player system. This piano has a beautiful light, burl walnut wood that is just breathtaking in person. Pianos like this simply aren't readily available today. They would have been afforded only by the wealthy of the era, hence their rarity today. This piano comes with a matching stool.
