DEPOSITS: The restoration of this instrument has not been completed. A 30% deposit is required on instruments pending restoration. This deposit holds the instrument and keeps it from being offered to other clients, and it also makes that piano’s restoration a priority. Once we complete the restoration, we invite the client to visit our shop to see and hear the piano. If the client is unable to visit our shop, we will send professional photos and videos of the piano for review. The client then has the option of paying the balance and purchasing the piano, transferring their balance to another piano in our shop, or getting a full refund for their deposit. The client is never at risk.

This fine instrument was built in 1927 by the Schaff Brothers Piano Company during America’s celebrated “Golden Age” of piano manufacturing. Known for their superior craftsmanship, Schaff Brothers pianos were considered high-quality, luxury instruments when new—valued for both their musical excellence and refined design.
Beneath its aged dark finish, this piano is crafted from beautiful imported Honduran mahogany and styled in the Colonial tradition. While the original finish appears quite dark today, restoration will allow the new owner to select any shade or depth of mahogany desired. The piano’s clean, classical lines and understated elegance give it a timeless vintage character.
This impressive full-size “upright grand” will be meticulously restored with historical accuracy, returning both its majestic appearance and its commanding tone to the glory of its original era. Once complete, it will deliver a warm, resonant voice and a highly responsive touch—qualities that defined the finest instruments of its time.
For those who wish to combine historic charm with modern convenience, the piano may also be fitted with the Pianomation player system, enabling it to perform automatically by streaming music from any smart device. Thousands of song titles are available at the touch of a button, seamlessly blending 20th-century craftsmanship with 21st-century innovation.
