DEPOSITS: The restoration of this instrument has not been completed. A 30% deposit is required on instruments pending restoration. This deposit holds the instrument and keeps it from being offered to another clients, and it also makes that piano's restoration a priority. Once we complete the restoration, we invite the client to visit our shop to see and hear the piano. If the client is unable to visit our shop, we will send professional photos and videos of the piano for review. The client then has the option of paying the balance and purchasing the piano, transferring their balance to another piano in our shop, or getting a full refund for their deposit. The client is never at risk.

DESCRIPTION

The Wing & Son Piano Company had a reputation for building only high quality pianos and sold them exclusively from lavish mail order catalogs. They were most popular for their 5-pedal “Orchestral Attachments” which mimicked harp, zither & mandolin

This piano was originally sold as the “Style 27” in lovely quarter sawn oak wood.  Rather than being elaborately carved, this piano offers balanced elegance through simple lines and beautifully-figured oak wood grain.  This piano is equipped with Wing & Sons exclusive 5 pedal mechanism which allows the pianist to mimic sounds of the mandolin, banjo, harp, and zither.  It is such a delight to hear one of these pianos after professional restoration!  When not engaged, the piano plays normally without any interference from these pedal attachments.

The sound and touch of these Wing pianos is unmatched, as they are truly magnificent, rare, and wonderful instruments.  If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live on an iPod, computer, iPad, etc. An original matching piano bench is included.
