The Ibach Piano Company is known to be the longest-running family own piano manufacturers in Germany. The firm was originally established in 1794 by Johannes Adolph, and the firm built pianos until closing in 2007. The firm was originally known as “Ibach Piano & Organ Manufactures”.  In 1839 Adolph Ibach retired and his sons Carl Rudolf and Richard took control of the firm. Two additional brothers were active in the firm as well during this time, Adolph Jun and Gustav.  The firm went on to be known as the Rud. Ibach Sohn Piano Company, one of the most celebrated manufacturers in European history.

This instrument is a rare Ibach concert grand piano from 1927, the “Golden Age” of piano building.  At 7’10” long, this instrument would have originally been intended for some large Baronial mansion or concert stage.  The instrument is done in a lovely black satin lacquer finish with elegant contrasting satinwood interior trim. Note the elaborate casting in the harp, a hallmark of Ibach’s attention to design.

This piano will be completely restored, inside and out, with a historical perspective in mind.  This is a rare opportunity to own one of Europe’s finest concert grand pianos!  If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system and can play by itself by streaming music live from any smart device.  Thousands of song titles are available.

A matching piano bench is included.
