Description
Linden & Fritz was a short-lived, family-owned firm that built high quality pianos from about 1842 – 1859. They are exceedingly rare today.
During the 19th Century there were a number of small, family-own firms who built pianos of extremely high quality and craftsmanship. This piano was built by the small firm of Linden & Fritz about a decade before the Civil war. Since the firm built a limited number of pianos over a short period of time, their pianos are quite rare today.
This piano is made of beautiful Brazilian Rosewood and is of the Empire Revival Victorian style. Unlike the highly cared Rococo pianos of the period, this Empire Revival style gives the instrument a look of simple elegance.
This piano will be restored to like-new condition, inside and out, all done with a historical perspective in mind. If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation computerized player system, allowing the piano to play by itself by streaming music live on an iPod, computer, iPad, etc. This system has over 10,000 songs available in its music library!
