Description
Rare Victorian Square Grand Piano by R. M. Bent & Company
The firm of R. M. Bent was one of New York’s smaller manufacturers. R. M. Bent built pianos in modest numbers over the span of several decades while earning the reputation for excellence in craftsmanship and materials.
This is a beautiful example of R. M. Bent’s craftsmanship at its finest. Built in about 1880, this instrument is made of beautiful Brazilian Rosewood and is of the Rococo Cabriole-Leg style. The wood of this piano is lovely and light in color, and can easily be finished to any shade of rosewood a client desires.
The piano is being restored to like-new condition, inside and out. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired.
