Symphonola brand player piano built by Price & Teeple
This piano was built under the “Symphonola” label by the illustrious Price & Teeple Piano Company of Chicago. The piano is made of beautiful book-matched walnut wood and is of the Mission style.
Built in 1917, this piano was originally made as a player piano which played perforated paper piano rolls. Like so many original player pianos, the original player mechanisms were removed from this piano many years ago so it is being restored with the Pianomation player system. Rather than pumping the pedals, one will simply touch an iPod button to make the piano play by itself!
This piano is being restored to like-new condition, inside and out. Like most Price & Teeple instruments, this piano has the potential to be a very good sounding instrument once restoration is complete.
