DEPOSITS: The restoration of this instrument has not been completed. A 30% deposit is required on instruments pending restoration. This deposit holds the instrument and keeps it from being offered to other clients, and it also makes that piano’s restoration a priority. Once we complete the restoration, we invite the client to visit our shop to see and hear the piano. If the client is unable to visit our shop, we will send professional photos and videos of the piano for review. The client then has the option of paying the balance and purchasing the piano, transferring their balance to another piano in our shop, or getting a full refund for their deposit. The client is never at risk.

This beautiful piano is a stunning example of true Craftsman style, featuring rich quarter sawn oak cabinetry accented with original copper hinges, pedals, and hardware. Because the Arts & Crafts movement marked such a dramatic departure from more traditional furniture styles, piano manufacturers were slow to embrace it. Only a small number chose to invest the time and resources needed to produce instruments in the Craftsman aesthetic. By the time a few companies did introduce these designs, the movement had already begun to wane—making Craftsman-style pianos exceedingly rare today.
Built in 1908 by the Price & Teeple Piano Company, this instrument stands out as one of the most detailed Mission-style upright pianos in our collection. Even in its current, unrestored condition, it delivers a bold, resonant sound—an indication of the exceptional tonal quality it will offer once fully restored.
The piano’s strong, masculine design is emphasized by its classic mortise-and-tenon crossbeam construction, reflecting the durability and craftsmanship of the era. The quarter sawn oak case can be finished in golden, red, or dark oak tones, tailored to the customer’s preference.
