Description
Although Steinway is known far and wide as the most popular brand name in pianos, Mason & Hamlin is considered by many professional musicians to be the finest pianos ever made.
This Mason & Hamlin baby grand piano was built just before the Great Depression, making it one of the last models built during American’s “Golden Age” of piano manufacturing. Slightly smaller than the Model A grand, the Model B was widely used in homes rather than institutional use. This lovely piano is made of walnut wood and is of the Traditional style. These photos substantial finish fading, but the piano is being refinished back to a deep, rich walnut color. A previous owner installed a Pianomation player system which allows the piano to play by itself using CDs; this Pianomation player system is included. This piano is being restored to suit the most discriminating pianist. A matching bench is included.
