Description
Although Steinway is known far and wide as the most popular brand name in pianos, Mason & Hamlin is considered by many professional musicians to be the finest pianos ever made.
This Mason & Hamlin baby grand piano was made in the golden age of piano building. Popular in professional studios and conservatories, the Model "A" grand is far and wide considered just about the most perfect piano ever made. These early 20th Century Model A Mason & Hamlin can still be found in major music schools and universities across the United States - they are often rebuilt over and over rather than replaced with new pianos! Because they were designed for teaching, performance and institutional use, most Mason & Hamlin grand pianos were done in standard black lacquer. This model Model A is unusual because it is made of lovely Honduras Mahogany wood, indicating that this particular insturment was built for the home. This piano is being restored to suit the most discriminating pianist. A matching bench is included. This piano can be equipped with computerized player mechanisms if desired.
