This beautiful piano was built by the prominent Kranich & Bach Piano Company in 1885. Kranich & Bach built high quality, expensive pianos in New York from about 1864-1981. This instrument is made of heavily carved Brazilian Rosewood hidden underneath the old deteriorated finish. It is made in the rare and desirable Rococo Victorian Style with heavily carved cabriole legs and fretted music rack. These Kranich & Bach instruments were among some of the finest, most well made pianos of the Victorian era and they are quite rare today. This piano has a warm, mellow tone, and will be stunning after restoration. An original matching stool is included. This piano can be fitted with computerized player mechanisms.
