William Knabe & Company was one of the largest and most successful piano manufactures in American history. Knabe is among the “top 5” of the most celebrated old American brand names.
This piano was originally sold as the “Model B, Horizontal Grand” in early Knabe sales catalogs. The case is made of richly-figured Honduran Mahogany wood and s made in the beautiful Edwardian style. This instrument was built right at the turn-of-the-century, a time when styles were evolving from the excessively carved Victorian style to the cleaner and more modern designs of the 20th Century. Note the beautifully fluted legs and subtle Greek accents which give this piano timeless appeal. This piano is being restored to like-new condition, inside and out. Not only is this instrument visually stunning, it is a top quality musical instrument which would satisfy any accomplished musician.
