This piano is a prime example of the beautiful craftsmanship that was produced by the renowned Knabe Piano Company during the 19th Century. This piano is made of beautifully carved Brazilian Rosewood in the Eastlake Victorian style. Notice the beautiful cut work around the music desk and intricately carved legs and pedal lyre. This model piano was known as the "Parlor Grand", and was popular in larger homes and conservatories of the Victorian era. While substantial enough for a professional musician or small auditorium, the size of the piano made it desirable for most Victorian parlors and sitting rooms. Inside, there are beautifully painted flowers and vines that have been preserved in restoration. The tone of this piano is unmatched by today's instruments, and it is about half the price of a new piano of similar size. It comes with an original matching stool, and can be equipped with a computerized player mechanism if desired.
