Description
Beautiful example of 19th Century German Piano Manufacturing At Its Finest
The firm of J. J. Wagner appears to have been a small, family owned firm based in Hamburg during the mid-19th Century. These small, family-owned firms would build pianos in modest numbers, and historical information is often difficult, if not impossible, to trace. These small firms generally built pianos of superior quality and craftsmanship; only the best was good enough to display the family name!
This lovely piano is made of unusual vertical-grained rosewood and is of the Empire Revival style. Note the unusual pedestal style legs and elaborately carved filigree work which give this beautiful instrument a distinctly European look and feel.
This piano is being restored to like-new condition, inside and out. A matching piano stool is included. Computerized player mechanisms can be installed if desired.
