Description
Elegantly Carved Rococo Style Hazelton Brothers Square Grand Piano
This beautiful square piano was built by Hazelton Brothers in 1870, a time when more square pianos were being built in America than grand pianos and upright pianos combined. Hazelton Brothers built extremely high quality, expensive pianos in NY from about 1850-1957, one of the few American piano companies to survive over a century.
This piano is made of Brazilian Rosewood and is of the carved Rococo Victorian style. The piano will be restored to like-new condition, both inside and out, all done with a historical perspective in mind. These period square pianos have a sweet, delicate “harp like” tone quality which makes them ideal for early music. The tone is quite beautiful to listen to!
If desired, this piano can be equipped with the Pianomation player system, and can play by itself by streaming music live on through any smart device. More than 10,000 song titles are available!
A matching piano stool is included.
